Why is it different?

Research shows that bakuchiol and retinol work even better together. Plant-derived bakuchiol is one of a few ingredients that can stabilize retinol, allowing it to work more effectively and for longer, even at a lower concentration. The addition of peptides helps to stimulate and strengthen skin to visibly combat sagging.

All Paula’s Choice products are 100% fragrance free, clinically proven to be non-irritating, and never tested on animals.

What does it do?

Moderate-strength retinol and a 2% strength of plant-derived bakuchiol work with firming peptides to deliver multi-level repair and rejuvenation. It quickly targets fine lines, deep wrinkles, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores and rough texture for youthful-looking skin.

How to use?

Limit initial use to three times per week; gradually increase frequency to every evening as tolerated. Apply 1-2 pumps over face and neck, avoiding contact with eyes, eyelids and lips. Follow with moisturizer. During the day, finish with a sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.

Start slow

I was too ambitious at the beginning of my retinol journey by starting with the 1% retinol which caused flaking and burning. After letting my skin rest, I tried again with their sample size of 0.3% retinol and surprisingly, my skin is loving this strength of retinol. I haven't had any irritation and my skin is showing the desired effects of retinol. I have since purchased a full-size of this product. So if you're new to retinol, I would suggest to start slow and eventually build up to higher strengths as your skin requires.
