Why is it different?

Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner helps balance skin with antioxidants and hydrating ceramides, making oily areas less noticeable and skin more even, smooth, moisturized, and protected. It is an essential step in any skincare routine to renew skin after cleansing. Can also help remove the last traces of makeup. All Paula’s Choice products are 100% fragrance free, clinically proven to be non-irritating, and never tested on animals. 2021 Daily Vanity Beauty Awards - Worth a Shot

What does it do?

Antioxidants, soothing plant extracts and niacinamide help tone down oily skin and minimize pore size. Its exceptionally lightweight liquid formula feels weightless on skin but still provides high-quality hydration to diminish dry flaky areas of skin.

How to use?

After cleansing, apply toner to a cotton pad and gently stroke over face and neck. Do not rinse. Follow with the rest of your morning or evening skincare routine. For daytime, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.

FAQ

What does toner do for skin?

Toners have many benefits for skin, such as replenishing and hydrating, providing essential antioxidants and removing leftover traces of makeup. Think of toner as a liquid moisturizer that provides a healthy base layer for the rest of your routine.

Is toner necessary?

Depending on your preferences, you might not need a toner, but once you try one, you’ll likely find it was the missing step you’ve been searching for. If you’re looking for an advanced system, a well-formulated toner will take your routine to the next level.

Which Paula’s Choice toner for oily skin should I use?

SKIN BALANCING Pore-Reducing Toner is a great option if you deal with oily skin and enlarged pores, although we do carry a few other toners for oily skin.

How are Paula's Choice toners different than other toners on the market?

All Paula's Choice toners are fragrance-free, packaged to maintain stability and contain no sensitizing ingredients, such as denatured alcohol, menthol or citrus. Every toner is formulated with key antioxidants and skin-replenishing ingredients like niacinamide, which makes them suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.

If I am using Paula's Choice CLEAR collection, when should I apply the SKIN BALANCING Pore-Reducing Toner?

If you’re adding this to your anti-acne routine, apply right after cleansing. Follow with your exfoliant, anti-acne treatment and moisturizer.

What is the pH of Paula’s Choice Pore-Reducing Toner?

The pH of this toner is between 6-7.
What percent of niacinamide is in Paula's Choice Pore-Reducing Toner?
This pore-reducing toner contains 1% niacinamide, an amount that research shows can visibly refine enlarged pores, even out skin tone and provide antioxidant benefits.

Can I use other niacinamide products with the Pore-Reducing Toner?

Yes, you can use multiple niacinamide products in the same routine. If you have advanced concerns, like persistent dullness, enlarged pores or roughness with visibly lax pores (aka 'orange-peel texture'), you may want to try layering this toner under a serum or booster with a higher concentration of niacinamide.

How often should I use Paula's Choice toner?

You can use this or any other Paula's Choice toner up to twice per day, immediately after cleansing, to replenish and rehydrate skin. Follow with the rest of your routine, layering products from thinnest to thickest texture and finishing with SPF 30+ for daytime.

Keeps acne-prone skin moisturised

Have acne-prone combination skin which I use BHA exfoliant for (BHA works great at keeping acne at bay but can be too drying for skin). Using this toner keeps my skin moisturised.. the non-oily parts don’t flake off. Feels refreshing on the skin too.
